Entry #10. How To Stop Overthinking.
You finally have a few quiet moments to yourself, only to immediately start wondering about all the responsibilities that await. Flooded with thoughts of overthinking about circumstances out of our control, we sink into a loop of rumination. Worrying and overthinking are natural parts of life, but they may harm our health if left uncontrolled. Learning to take control of our emotions and thoughts by involving ourselves in activity shuts down negative behavior. It can feel impossible to start something new when we are overwhelmed by our thoughts.

- Setting aside time for ourselves might be difficult, but we can begin by setting little objectives for ourselves to achieve. Closing our eyes and being aware of our breathing, and freeing all of our emotions, finding a moment of peace, relaxation, and validation in a time of stillness.
- Remember to radiate light and compassion to our lives and others wherever we may need it. Planting each foot on the ground with intentions and gentle love to our minds. These are steps that take us through a journey of awareness of the mind and body.
- We must keep in check with our well-being and acknowledge the storms that come our way. We can acknowledge the thought is just like a wave, we watch it go up and then float away.
Each time we do this, the wave gets smaller and eventually roles away, just like the thought. The storms of life do not have to control us; we can learn to adapt and overcome. I hope you take this information and apply it to your life.
This is something that I suffer from, thanks.
