Entry #5. Does Your Insurance Cover Tailgaters?
We have all been there, rushing to get to a place and happen upon unfortunate situations that often leave us financially hurt. Allstate Auto Insurance "Mayhem" provides humorous commercials to persuade the audience to rethink their safety and question their car insurance reliability. The Insurance company wants the viewers to express the positive feeling of knowing their insurance protects them no matter what happens.
The creatively crafted ad depicts a situation we may all be familiar with, more or less. Allstate provides a quirky and humorous commercial that tries to persuade viewers, specifically car owners, to get Allstate protection and feel safe while driving.
The ad commercial starts with a man energetic and eager to get to a football game tailgate party and tailgates a civilian. The civilian is getting upset at the driver but ironically isn't paying attention to what is in front of him, causing him to collide with a truck, resulting in extensive damage to his car. The tailgater drives off, leaving the scene of the accident. Not sure if his car insurance will pay for the damage, the man questions his insurance reliability.
This commercial serves as a reminder that life is busy, and we all have places to be, things to see, and people to meet. But life doesn't slow down for us, and often unfortunate events prevent us from reaching our destination.
America is a busy country with many drivers, and that is why it is important to have the right protection that doesn't cost us our life savings. Not only do companies want you to invest in their product, but they also want to keep you invested. You work hard for what you have, and Allstate makes it their priority to understand that and help you succeed.
Companies provide memorable commercials that will keep current investors reminded of the promises associated with the company. Allstate's whole purpose is to have viewers rethink their current insurance and if they are in good hands, leaving them with peace of mind.

ReplyDeleteHello, I completely agree with your statement about the viewers of this commercial are kinda forced to look at their financial situation and see if they are in good hands. I also love your sentence about how life is busy because it is so true! Great job!
ReplyDeleteHi, I agree with the fact that memorable commercials are purposefully made in order to keep the audience hooked. I also like how you connected America's busy traffic roads with the possibility of an accident happening and needing auto insurance!
